A Sample of Our Projects

Safehaven Project for Community Living
Safehaven provides family-centred and community-based residential and respite care to children with developmental disabilities and complex care needs.
Sonderbloom supports Safehaven in maximizing residential capacity and systematizing the transition of individuals from acute care or rehabilitation centres to Safehaven. Sonderbloom also supports the process of obtaining operating and capital grants or loans from various levels of government, and pursues opportunities to build housing capacity through public-private partnerships.

Community Living Toronto
Community Living Toronto (CLTO) offers a wide range of personalized supports for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. CLTO also offers several online tools that help individuals access activities in their communities and manage their direct funding.
Sonderbloom supports CLTO in developing a social media marketing strategy that is aligned with its outward-facing tools. Sonderbloom aims to improve the client experience, expand public outreach, and work collaboratively with CLTO to find efficiencies in their business process.

DirectFunded
DirectFunded is a financial management service run by Sonderbloom that provides support to individuals and families for government self-directed funding programs, as well as small agencies in need of accounting services.
Individuals with developmental or physical disabilities who choose to direct their own services can rely on DirectFunded to ease the administrative burden of hiring, scheduling, and paying their own staff. Developmental services agencies can also use DirectFunded for their bookkeeping, tax preparation, and payroll service needs. Find out more about DirectFunded at DirectFunded.com.
Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services
Trasada's work in social services extends to research and consulting for Ontario government, particularly at the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services (MCCSS).
Trasada has conducted several comprehensive reviews and analyses on Developmental Services (DS) program costs and other service and client information. Advanced statistical techniques were applied to MCCSS data to answer key ministry questions about cost drivers, unit costs of all DS transfer payment agencies, and client characteristics associated with agency costs in various programs.

Developmental Services Human Resource Strategy
The Developmental Services Human Resources Strategy (DSHRS) is a partnership between the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Servies, and the Provincial Network on Developmental Services, which was initiated with a vision to professionalize the sector and ensure the best quality of supports for people with developmental disabilities in Ontario.
Sonderbloom has supported the DSHRS in the development of its strategy by designing, conducting and reporting on the results of several large surveys of Developmental Services professionals and making recommendations based on the findings.
In addition, Sonderbloom created a go-to comprehensive Toolkit and guide for employers and students to navigate the Developmental Services Worker Apprenticeship Program in Ontario.

Centennial College, Centre for Academic Quality
The Centre for Academic Quality at Centennial College ensures quality in Centennial’s academic programs and curriculum though meaningful measurement, systematic evaluation, and sharing of best practices.
Sonderbloom has conducted a series of comprehensive program quality reviews (CPQRs) within several academic Schools of Study. The evaluations involved collecting both qualitative and quantitative data through the use of surveys and focus groups with faculty members and students, reviewing and integrating program cluster data, stakeholder satisfaction ratings, curriculum analyses and market trends, as well as identifying program strengths, challenges, opportunities and recommendations.
